About Troop 62

Troop 62 is a traditional scouting unit and is one of the oldest troops in Colorado. The troop celebrated its 100th birthday in 2021 and -to date- has graduated about 170 Eagle Scouts. 

We count about 60 Scouts, 5 Scoutmasters / Assistant Scoutmasters, and a number of very involved adults. Our home is the Park Hill Masonic Lodge where we meet once a week year round. 

We go on monthly campouts and plan for one or more weeklong summer camps and high adventure trips each summer. 

Our scouts are organized in patrols, which are smaller groups within the large troop that work together. 

A key component of Scouting is that Scout troops are led by the Scouts themselves under the advice and guidance of adult leaders ("boy led"), and Troop 62 is organized around this principle.
